As I watch the lights twinkle on the Christmas tree
I think back as a child writing Santa Clause a letter
I wonder if he would take one more request from me...
Dear Santa,
I know it must be a surprise to get a letter from me after all these years.
But I have this one wish that is just to big for me to handle alone.
I remembered how you would come quietly in the night down my chimney
and when I woke up in the morning you had made all my
Christmas dreams come true!
So I thought I would ask if you would grant me just one Christmas wish.
I know it's a lot to ask but I've been a very good girl this year
And Santa I even ate my peas and carrots too *giggle*
I know this is an odd request from one so old but you see Santa,
I have never stopped believing in you or the magic and love you bring
all good girls and boys.
There are some cookies and milk laid out for you and I
added some hay for the all the reindeer too!
I promise you Santa, I really was good this year
And this wish means more to me than all the silver and gold
I will ask for no more and promise not ask this of you again
Please Dear St. Nick, won't you bring my true love home to me?
Maybe Rudolph's red nose could show him the way or Dancer
could whisper in his ear... I'm not sure what he should say
but Santa if you can spare me one more magic christmas wish
Oh please let me find him under my tree on Christmas day!
Love Katie
xoxoxo
And then I would sign it with hugs and kisses just to let Santa know
how much I really want this one last wish!
It's the only gift I want this season
Just one day with you my love...on Christmas Day
